The issue might stem from differences in how the monitoring tools interpret the settings. The core and memory clocks appear to function correctly, but discrepancies could arise from other software interfering. It's possible that Radeon Settings is taking precedence over Afterburner, causing the monitoring graph to reflect its own values instead of your configured ones.

The issue is clear. Radeon Settings often takes precedence over MSI Afterburner, so using Overdrive to overclock is the right approach.

Damn so there's no other way to get around that? thats fine I guess, I like afterburner mainly for the monitoring it provides anyways. Thank-you very much I figured I wasn't the only one with this problem

There might be a solution, but I've been too lazy to look it up. A bit of searching could help, though Overdrive seems the simplest and most relaxed option. Afterburner can still function as a monitoring tool just fine.
