The mouse remains unresponsive for a few seconds.
I previously owned a Logitech G300s gaming mouse. It functioned well at first, but eventually began freezing and disconnecting unexpectedly. I assumed the device was outdated and decided to upgrade with a Razer Naga Chroma wired mouse. Initially, connecting the new mouse to my computer was tricky—sometimes it wouldn’t start up until I reinserted it. Once resolved, it performed perfectly. However, after a few months, the same problems returned. The freezing episodes lasted only a couple of seconds and mostly occurred during gaming sessions. I suspect the issue isn’t with the mouse itself since it was less than five months old, but rather with the connection or power settings. I’ve tried several fixes: uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, adjusting power settings in Device Manager, forcing a driver update, and even removing and reinstalling Razer Synapses. Any advice would be invaluable.
I've encountered the same issue with my R.A.T. 7 from Mad Catz. The mice functions perfectly on other PCs, but it randomly disconnects on my laptop every few minutes—usually for about 3 seconds. I've tried different mice and even used a standard one, but nothing seems to fix it. I've checked the manufacturer's instructions and settings, but so far I haven't found a solution. I took photos using USBDeview to compare the connected devices and noticed that the normal mouse requires 98mA while the R.A.T. 7 needs 100mA. Could this power difference be affecting its performance? If so, how can I adjust my USB controller settings to provide more power?
I don’t experience that noise unless there’s an issue with your setup. Otherwise, I’ve got a solid mousepad and should work fine.
