Hello, Your mouse has been behaving oddly lately. It occasionally freezes briefly—just a second or two—and then restarts, sometimes working for a few minutes before the issue returns. There’s a brief disconnect, but it remains powered on with the LEDs still active. This problem appears more often while gaming than during regular tasks, possibly because I need to be more precise in gameplay and catch it sooner. I’ve tried all possible solutions: reinstalling drivers, updating firmware, rebooting, testing on another device, adjusting settings, cleaning the mouse and sensor, and even recording a video with my phone. The mouse still functions perfectly on my Windows 11 laptop. I suspect this might be related to the gaming environment or specific settings. Let me know if you have any ideas or steps you’ve already taken. Thank you for your help!

Test the mouse on another device such as a laptop, phone, TV, or any other computer. The problem could be related to the cable.

It seems I didn't fully grasp the message. Could you clarify what you meant?

Steelseries QcK, thank you for your support. I’m glad you found the assistance useful, though I’m experiencing some issues now—two consecutive attempts are causing the problem. The device keeps moving and then disconnects unexpectedly.

Have you explored various USB ports? Using the same port repeatedly might cause it to wear out or fail.

You say you’ve fixed the issue on another machine, checked all USB connections, and even swapped out the mouse pad. Now you’re left with just the computer itself, and without a replacement mouse you’re stuck. The only advice I can give is to rule out unusual USB disconnection problems—some Ryzen models have known issues. Are you certain you’re using the newest BIOS? Have you installed Gigabyte chipset drivers? You might want to test with a bootable Linux distribution to determine if the problem lies in hardware or software (like a Win11 issue).

I received the newest update from the GigaBytes site. Tomorrow I’ll test with another mouse, so I won’t start on Linux just yet, though I’ll consider it later.

At work I didn't fully understand your message and missed any hidden details. Why would you conceal such crucial steps? Older versions of Zen were known to trigger USB disconnections when under stress for some users. If you own the agesa 1207, that might not be the problem. I don’t remember you referencing the latest chipset drivers, even though you said you were reinstalling them. Do you have additional USB devices, perhaps an older peripheral that could interfere? Have you tried disconnecting the power supply and reconnecting it to the board? Maybe your 5V output is slightly off or there’s a loose connection. Also, check if the motherboard battery voltage is stable.
