The mouse and occasionally the keyboard experience frequent disconnections and reconnections.
Hello,
Yesterday I began facing a problem where my mouse would disconnect and reconnect during gameplay in PUBG. I notice a noise when the USB is unplugged, followed by a brief freeze on my PC, then a plug-in sound and eventually the mouse functioning again after 10 to 20 minutes.
I’ve checked many discussions about similar issues and tried various fixes, but none resolved the problem.
Now things have gotten worse—my keyboard is also disconnecting and reconnecting randomly.
I own a Steelseries Sensei mouse that another user with the same issue reported: [link].
I suspect the power supply might not be sufficient, as I recently increased my CPU frequency from 3500 MHz to 4400 MHz (Intel i7 4770K).
Apologies for the lengthy message and my unclear English, but I’d appreciate any suggestions someone might have.
if you believe it's the power issue, try using your CPU at Stock Clock, remove the chassis fan early, and check if the keyboard and mouse problems persist.
if yes, it seems the USB ports problem is likely.
This seems to be a power issue, don't you think? How many devices are connected via USB on your computer? (I used to always face this problem whenever I had lots of USB devices attached to my PC.) I'd suggest unplugging some of those to check if it resolves the issue, good luck, fellow PUBG player!
Not really, only mouse and keyboard.
I've experimented with several things with a friend who's skilled in computers. He believes it might be due to driver updates causing the mouse to shut down (now it's just the mouse). Or maybe some parts got damaged during stress tests (Prime95) after my overclocking.
But I don't think it's any of the components since the keyboard keeps working and only the mouse stops.
Now I see a message saying it's one of the USB composite devices: https://imgur.com/a/HELIb.
I went to Device Manager and uninstalled that device, but it happened again.
Right now I'm confused and considering buying Windows 10; if that fails, I assume some parts got damaged!
Did you resolve the problem? It's identical to yours, but I encounter it consistently across all games and occasionally even without heavy system usage. I've attempted every solution and upgraded to Windows 10 yet nothing worked. Do you have any success? Thanks.
