I've already adjusted Power Management in Device Manager for both devices to wake them from sleep, but it didn't work. Hibernation was also turned off. The CPU case light now flashes, indicating it's still sleeping. This is unusual—I haven't experienced this before with my previous Windows 10 version or any other laptops. Is there a BIOS setting I should change? My machine is an MSI Z790 with an Intel i7 12th Gen CPU.

Check if BIOS allows resuming via USB device (keyboard/mouse) and is turned on.

A bios configuration should exist to enable a usb device to activate the pc.

Have you reviewed each item in the HID and USB controller areas of the Device Manager? There are many unnecessary entries beyond just the mouse and keyboard sections.

I located the configuration in BIOS and turned it on.
It's odd it would be off by default, though.
