The Mount -a feature isn't functioning as expected.
Hi there, I'm just getting started with Linux. I've been using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on my HTPC for a few months now, mainly as a Plex Server and media center. I also have a NAS (Qnap TS210) that stores all my media, which has been connected to the HTPC for some time. Recently, I had to replace my router because the old one stopped working, causing the NAS's IP address to change. After updating the NAS IP in the FSTAB, I tried running "sudo mount -a" in the terminal, but it didn't work. The terminal stays frozen, and even when I close it, it still seems like a command is running. The drives aren't mounting at all. Anyone have any suggestions on what might be going wrong? Thanks!
Please share your fstab file. Confirm your new router isn’t set up with a built-in firewall by default. Also, let me know if you’d like different static IP settings for your NAS compared to before.
The fstab configuration is listed above. Use blkid for device IDs; this helps identify disks reliably. Adjust mount options as needed. Check network shares and credentials carefully. The router blocks the new IP assignment, limiting changes. You may need to contact your ISP for further assistance.
Attempting to mount one of those shares manually. Please report any issues encountered.
