Hello everyone, I recently installed an ASUS ROG STRIX X570-I motherboard. After connecting everything properly and confirming the setup, when I power on the PC the RGB lights flash but the CPU fan remains off and there’s no display at all. Even the POST LEDs fail to light up, making it impossible to check for issues. I've also tested it with two different CPUs (Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 7 5700G), but the problem persists. Right now, only one RAM stick, the PSU, the M.2 SSD with Windows 10, and the CPU fan are connected. I kept the configuration simple, yet nothing boots or shows any BIOS messages. If anyone has any advice, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you for your help!

You connected both the 24-pin ATX port and the CPU pin, and it looks like your motherboard might not have arrived. Have you tested each memory slot individually and confirmed the power switch is set to the correct position?

It seems the device didn’t arrive today, but it lights up. Something feels off. I’ve tested all possible RAM setups, and I haven’t configured the power button yet—only the PSU is connected, so I can only adjust the switch on the PSU. Also, your username looks great!

The CPU is positioned correctly within the socket. Have you updated the latest BIOS version?

Essentially, your system isn’t powered on, so the motherboard keeps its RGB features active even when disabled. Try connecting the power pins on the motherboard to test.

It was really easy, actually! I didn’t expect to express that, but: Thanks, Dreckssackblase! My computer is working again!

Just a quick note about what happened. I had an ROG Strix X570-i gaming rig with H115i AOI, QVL approved RAM, Ryzen 9 5900X, and an 1060 GPU. I planned to check the components on the motherboard without putting everything into my Revolt 3 case. When I turned on the PSU switch, only the motherboard lights lit up—nothing else. No fan or pump spinning, not even on the GPU. I tested the PSU, GPU, and re-seated the CPU, but nothing worked. I was about to return it when I realized I could connect the case cables to the motherboard—it didn’t seem to make a difference. After turning on the case power, the GPU fan spun nicely, the AIO fan too, which was a relief. Now I’m putting everything together for my first ITX motherboard! Hope this helps and thanks for the advice!
