I just completed the build and accidentally dropped the screwdriver, causing it to slip and nudge the board. I’m concerned but the system is still running and functioning properly. Should I replace the motherboard or is the PC still okay?

It would require a lot of effort to harm it, so you're all right.

Sure, MOBO seems secure enough then. Appreciate it!

Yes, I did apologize. That’s the key point.

It requires significant pressure to harm a motherboard's coating. The main concern is damaging any transmission lines on a MOBO. It needs a bit more force than just a light tap. I once dropped a screwdriver onto a motherboard years ago—it was quite an old one, probably from the mid-90s, and this was around the mid-2000s. It definitely hit something hard enough to break a line, making it non-functional. I’ve likely tapped my motherboard several times during graphics card installations, yet it still works fine. Of course, it was always poked near the edge.
