Purchased a used motherboard, but it appears there was an issue during shipping. I didn’t see any signs of damage under the microscope. The PSU and CPU haven’t arrived yet, so I’m still waiting to test them. Any suggestions?

It could turn out to be fine. Just let us know if it functions or not.

You should remove the damage if you're confident there are no traces left, since internal layers might remain for ground or power. Otherwise, it could cause a short circuit.

I also have a top-down version available. It's a bit underwhelming seeing it this way, but I'll wait a week to see if it functions properly.

Certainly. The claim has already been filed, thankfully covered by insurance shipping. Hopefully it succeeds. I'll let you know sooner if it goes well.

The CPU socket appears damaged. It's hard to say if the board functions properly anymore.

I purchased the motherboard thinking there was a faulty socket, but I realized it was already damaged when I planned to fix it.

Ensure you have the expertise to proceed. This item seems likely damaged, even if purchased on platforms like eBay—consider marking it as defective upon arrival.
