Hey there! Your PC seems to have some issues lately. The i9-12900k is running on a z690 Aorus Master DDR5 motherboard, and you're experiencing problems with Minecraft and RAM. After replacing the RAM stick, the system still doesn't recognize it, showing errors and failing to boot. It looks like the motherboard might not be communicating properly with the new RAM. The fact that both kits work suggests the problem could be specific to one unit or a compatibility issue. You might want to check the RAM connections carefully and ensure the slots are clean. If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Corsair or G.Skill support for further assistance.

So for clarity sake : - You have 2 kits of RAM, each has 2 sticks. - Each kits works when you try them on their own. - They give you shit when you try to use both 2 kits at the same time. Correct so far ? You mentioned both Corsair & G.Skill , I assume you have 2 different brand of kits ? Also, define "flurry of errors from my mobo"

I discovered a fix. My friend recommended turning off xmp, and it resolved the issue! The system started normally and recognized the RAM.

I also mistyped corsair, they're both Trident Z5 at 6000MHz with identical timing.

I notice running without XMP indicates your RAM isn't operating at its advertised rate. For instance, a 3600MHz RAM will run at 3600MHz when XMP is enabled, but at a lower speed otherwise. Likely the problem stems from mixing RAM sticks from different sets. Even with identical brands, models, and timings, changes in ICs by manufacturers can cause compatibility issues. You might experience crashes or instability when XMP is activated—turning it off usually resolves the issue. To ensure optimal performance with XMP off, you'll need to manually adjust your RAM settings. Also, if you don't mention or tag the person, they may overlook your response. Example: @Daniel Wray
