You recently received a motherboard (MSI Z77A-G45), but noticed some pins are bent—around eight. Someone mentioned that the board still functioned even with bent pins (CPUs, motherboards, and memory). I've attached a photo of the pins.

Unless all eight pins are accidentally ungrounded... highly improbable. F

With a firm grip, you might be able to straighten them again. Avoid inserting the CPU until it's repaired, since doing so could worsen the situation.

Would it be advisable to attempt adding the parts? Could they cause damage?

Adjust the pins carefully. Avoid inserting a CPU into a damaged socket, as this can worsen the issue.

How closely aligned are they compared to the others? Like most items, they maintain a similar angle or positioning.

Use tweezers with a very fine tip. Shape them as straight as you can. Avoid consuming too much caffeine beforehand. Edit: adjust their appearance to match the others.

Getting them as close as possible is essential, and ensure they’re not interfering with other pins. They can be tricky to handle because of their size, but patience is key. A magnifying glass can make a big difference.
