Hello everyone,
I recently swapped out my PSU (new one) and also did some dust cleaning and reinstalled a few parts. This process required me to enter the BIOS to verify the settings before leaving. I noticed that my PC didn’t display the motherboard logo splash screen right away, so I booted into Windows immediately.
It wasn’t as if it skipped the logo—it took a long time before it finally appeared in Windows. It looks like the monitor was refusing to show the BIOS screen. I tested this three times, and the logo never showed up all three times, which suggests there’s a consistent issue.
I’m not sure if this is connected to my monitor, since I’ve only recently started using a 2K display. When I used a 1080p screen before, I never had this problem.
I consulted an AI, which recommended turning off Fast Boot and enabling Full Screen Logo, but my BIOS is already set to those options.
Note: I’m using a DP cable.

Monitor details:
- Model: MSI MAG 275QF
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X
- RAM: 32GB
- PSU: Montech Century II 850W
- Monitor brand: Not specified

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

What BIOS version is installed on your motherboard? I noticed that my PC didn’t display the motherboard logo splash screen right away and then started booting into Windows. If this doesn’t impact your system’s performance or functionality, you might just be overanalyzing. Feel free to leave it unchanged.

The present BIOS version for the Asrock B550M Steel Legend is 2.80.
This doesn't influence performance since I rarely access BIOS settings.
I just wanted to check.
Thank you.
