I misplaced my original jumper cap, so I purchased a 100 pack on Amazon (link provided). It fits into the pin but doesn’t fully cover it. Will it still function? Also, someone suggested shorting it with a screwdriver—how should I do that? Please find instructions and images helpful. Thanks in advance.
You're asking if the jumper won't go all the way down on the pins. It doesn't matter, it will still work. I advise against using a screwdriver for this, as it could short or touch something else with the blade and cause it to slip off.

You're asking if the jumper won't fully retract into the pins? That's not important—it'll still function. I wouldn't suggest using a screwdriver for this, since it could damage the blade or cause it to slip off.
(Unclear what your pictures were supposed to illustrate—confusing).
Yeah, sorry about the poor quality. The image was showing that the cap doesn't fully go down into the pins. If you examine it closely, you'll see a tiny gap between the pin and the cap.

Hey man, after resetting the CMOS, I noticed when I turned on the PC there was no beeping sound (usually one beeps when I pressed the power button), but the screen stayed black. Did that work?
