Your MSI RTX 3080 Suprim X requires a PSU with a minimum of 850 watts. Make sure to connect all three 8-pin PCIe power cables from the PSU.

It glows brightly like a Christmas tree, probably not the power source.

Just confirm it’s connected to your graphics card. Then I’d simply tell you to turn off the igpu.

It's happening that the GPU turns on, yet the motherboard doesn't recognize it.

You're asking about the RGB settings on the GPU, the meaning of "lights up," and how MSI Afterburner works with a non-functioning GPU. You also want confirmation that the HDMI cable was connected correctly.

I connected my HDMI cable to the motherboard and saw a display, but it didn’t recognize my GPU. When I switched it to the GPU port, the VGA light turned on and the RGB lights appeared.

Your GPU has a dual-bios verification to ensure it matches the correct model, specifically the non-power-saving version. Is there any noise from the motherboard? Is the GPU properly installed? Could the RGB lighting be controlled through external power connectors instead of the PCI-E slot? Are fast boot features activated in your BIOS/UEFI settings?

I verified, as you should. On the motherboard's GPU slot there are flaps that have fallen off—could that be the issue? Since I have a warranty, I thought about replacing them. I managed to reattach them successfully! Edited May 14, 2022 by Zefrost
