I recently replaced my PSU and returned the old one since the SATA connector was loose. After installing the new one, the PC wouldn’t power on, though it worked before. The motherboard lights came on, but fans only spin when you reset CMOS each time—no clear way to do that without a reset. Specs: Asus P8z77-M Pro CPU i7 3770, Corsair CX750M PSU.

Did you test the previous PSU connectors before swapping them out? Using old cables with a new PSU isn't safe—it could damage the motherboard if conditions aren't right. I recommend checking the pin configurations for both units. Some models differ significantly.

They're correct. If it doesn't match his description, I'd examine the CPU socket pins for any bends.
