The motherboard is not functioning.
The lights dimmed and then brightened in my house, causing my PC to shut down. When I brought it to the repair shop, the technician identified the power supply (Coolermaster 750W Bronze) as the issue. I replaced it and now he claims the motherboard is also dead since the PC isn’t sending a signal. Any advice?
Here are your PC specifications. Be aware that a power surge might have affected more than just the power supply unit. Understanding whether you have a dedicated GPU or an integrated iGPU can assist in troubleshooting. If there’s no signal when you power on, it could indicate an issue with the display output rather than a hardware failure.
The specifications include an AMD RX 5700 graphics card, 16GB of RAM at 2400MHz, a Ryzen 5 3600 processor, and a Cooler Master 750W bronze 80+ power supply. The display signal part is unclear, but I’m not certain about that.
