my motherboard has a slight curve. so, the IO shield isn't aligned properly. in the third photo... i placed a piece of plastic from the back side of the board for extra support and to reduce the curve. as a result, the ports are raised by 1 mm. doing this might damage my motherboard.

Sorry to ask, isn't this item from a used market? It could be bent by the maker (though highly improbable) or due to an incorrect mounting setup that causes the motherboard to bend.

Do you think all your standoffs are securely fastened? It seems they should be able to flex and return to their original form.

It’s nearly a year since the setup… all the screws, the shield, and the stand are correctly placed. The motherboard had a slight curve…

The issue is that the Io shield and motherboard ports aren't in the correct order. You need to fix that now. The previous steps seem fine.
