I recently purchased several components for a build and faced an issue. I have a 1600W power supply and the included CPU cables are two 4+4 pin cables, making a total of four; four pin cables. My system is an i9-12900k with a Z690 AORUS motherboard that has two 8-pin sockets for the CPU. Can I connect all four of these 4-pin cables to it?

The 4+4 connectors are built to join and create an 8-pin connector. This ensures compatibility with motherboards featuring 8-pin power connectors and older boards that only support 4-pin connectors. You can pair two 4+4 cables to connect the two 8-pin ports.

The 4+4 pin cables are built to connect and transform into an 8-pin connector that fits directly into each of those two 8-pin sockets. You only have to insert one, though the second one won’t cause any issues because a single 12900K is just barely within the capacity of an 8-pin setup.
