He was just watching Robeytech live last night, sponsored by newegg, and he clearly said some boards won’t post without both connections plugged in. Now I’m trying to trust his advice, as he’s much more enthusiastic about hardware than I am. I haven’t had that experience myself, but when I run OC heavy (5.4ghz+), I actually use the extra four pins.

I've pushed over 2v on 4 low-quality CPU VRMs. I can also share the screenshot of that. It happened with a single 4-pin power connector in the mid-7GHz range. You probably didn't realize I was saying he doesn't "need" the extra 4-pin connection—I was pointing out a Molex deal. Lol.

That's exactly what I intended, ignoring the "doesn't need it" part hehe. It's actually quite fine to fill all the EPS ports. Required. Usually not, but I don't believe adding extra possibilities is really necessary. We have RGB for that x)

Not sure how it works. I also use Moxon for case fans... RGB isn't working... Would the BIOS allow that?

I purchased my board using this person's list. I watched a video about the 10th generation board. He suggests it should work fine, but warns you can overload a 10900k on one 8 pin. To be safe, I plan to add an extra cable if possible. The cable I connected fits into a socket labeled 6+2 pci-e and 4+4 CPU?
