The motherboard fails to power up even though the CPU is connected to the socket.
My computer functioned properly throughout the night until it failed to power on. I attempted every possible fix but it wouldn't turn on. Eventually, I discovered the CPU was the issue—once I removed it from the socket and pressed the power button, the system started. The GPU and PSU were operational, but without the CPU in place, it doesn’t boot. Is the CPU dead or is there a hardware problem?
Specs: CPU - R5-3600, Mobo - MSI B450M PRO vHDI Max, GPU - RTX 3060 Ti, PSU - Corsair CV650, RAM - Corsair Vengeance 8x2 @ 3200MHz, SSD - WD Blue SN570 1TB NVMe M.2, HDD - WD 1TB. I tested all cables on the motherboard.
Would you like to test another version? Yes, this began following a BIOS update.
No! I don’t have another Mobo, I didn’t perform any BIOS update, and my device doesn’t include a flashback option—it’s only possible to upgrade BIOS via the BIOS settings menu.
