The fan activates when the EPS isn't connected and stops when it is. That’s expected. The board includes two EPS connectors—4+8?—and you might want to test both. It would help to know more about the overall system specs. Some users say the CPU is faulty, but I don’t understand what it actually does. This seems a bit funny. GameMax is listed near the bottom of the PSU section. I wouldn’t rely on these power supplies for my Asus boards. (My guess is they don’t perform well.) I’d consider a model with both EPS ports that are needed for the board. Alternatively, reset the CMOS. If that fails, look at the BIOS version on the box sticker and update it if necessary. (Still unsure about the CPU.)

It's been a bit of a wait since I reached out. I ordered another PSU (EVGA 650 GA) and a new CPU (AMD Ryzen 7 3700x) just for testing. So far, nothing has changed—it's behaving the same. I'm planning to test it inside a case first, then back out again. Thanks for all the support; feel free to share any useful tips!
