The motherboard does not support ReBar for the Intel Arc A380.
I recently installed an Intel Arc A380 on my secondary PC. It functions correctly, but the motherboard isn’t allowing the resizeable Bar to activate. I’m using a Gigabyte B365M gaming board with an Intel i3 9350KF CPU. I turned off CSM Support, enabled "Above 4G Decoding," and set Re-Size Bar Support to "Auto." Disabled Vt-d, but it didn’t make a difference. I updated the BIOS, vBIOS, and drivers, yet it remains inactive. I added reference images for better understanding. I also tried running the Arc A380 on my main system, which worked fine—my other rig has an i7 9700K and an MSI Z390 board, so the issue isn’t with the GPU. I confirmed with Gigabyte that this board supports Rebar and that the BIOS is current, but neither helped resolve the problem. My product isn’t covered by warranty.
Did you turn ReBAR on before setting up the Arc drivers? It might have been a glitch if it wasn’t already active. Using GPU-Z with a background game can reveal the PCIe version being used. It’s possible the card isn’t running at PCIe 3.0 8x, which could be the problem. Another chance is Intel didn’t include the 9350KF because I had no idea that CPU supported it. Outside of checking the CPU, see if the motherboard supports it by running a cross-check.
I've installed drivers several times, including a clean install, and in both cases ReBalance was set to Auto. The 9350KF model was released late in the 9th generation, but I believe the issue lies with the motherboard. When I added my RTX 3070Ti, resizing worked. In the GPU settings, it shows PCie x8 4.0 @ x8 3.0. I'm considering a CPU swap to save on liquid cooling, but I'm willing to try it if necessary. Any other suggestions?
Use CPU swap for troubleshooting, particularly when you have two functional platforms.
