It seems this item lacks a proper name, making it hard to identify. Try adjusting the CPU fan placement carefully and check your manual for guidance.
The backplate is attached. 3. Simply reinstall it at the rear of the motherboard.
It's referred to as a backplate and it's perfectly fine that it came off. This usually occurs when you remove the two black bars from the front of the board. Depending on the cooler you're using, you might need it or not. If you plan to reinstall it, I've discovered it's simplest to place it on the tablet, cover the motherboard with it, so those four black screw holes are visible, and then you can mount whatever is required on the front of the board.
Simply press it firmly, there are four openings around the CPU socket, the four bits in the corners need to fit through... if it doesn't come in easily, turn it 180 degrees and give another try. Keep the white plastic on the part—it's meant to protect the connector from other components on the back.
It’s a clamp on the back of the motherboard that helps hold the CPU cooler in place. When you secure it, the board adjusts pressure evenly. Without this feature, the main concern would be loose screws or damage from bending the board if you tighten too much or move it quickly.
