Doom 3...ignore everyone's opinions. It really scared me a lot. I haven't played any horror games since. I enjoy horror movies but dislike horror games because I have the control.

Isolation crafts an ideal setting without relying on sudden scares. The resonant corridors and solitary gameplay further enhance the mood. Superior to other titles. Outlast falls short when you realize the AI is terrible and easily defeated. Metro 2033 offers another solid horror experience. Slightly more linear, yet it still builds a compelling atmosphere, which I believe forms the foundation of a horror game.

It took some time for my wife to grasp how scary horror games are compared to movies. In films, you can pause whenever you want until the unpleasant moment passes, but in games, you’re forced to face what’s ahead and step through doors yourself. Now we’re laughing about them—alien and Outlast are fun together.

Doom 3 isn't great when compared to Silent Hill 2 and Amnesia. You'd probably end up in a mental institution if you couldn't cope with it.

lol I'll put my hands up and admit I'm a right girl when it comes to scary games. took me a while just to play left 4 dead on my own. I'm fine if I'm playing online with strangers!! but I do love zombie games, there's just a lot of ass puckering
