Amnesia and Silent Hill 2 are top choices.

Metro 2033 redux initially gave me a bad impression, but issues like awkward lip syncing, childlike voices, and not having played it before made it disappointing. I planned to purchase it, but now I’ll hold off until the rift appears.

I play without rift and with my headset it's scary as f^^k. You can get the game very cheap now with the season pass. Seas pass in this game is great, it gives you a shit load of survivor mode challenges which to me, are the main reason to keep playing.

After completing the metro series, I'll resume reading next time.

I've been eager to try those two, planning to install the redux bundle next.

2033 is a brief number... and I haven’t completed LL yet.

It's just a waste of time with those fake jump scare things.

I’d buy it during the sale, even though I didn’t see a big upgrade from Redux—it’s still worth grabbing. The game doesn’t try to guide you, it keeps you on your toes, reminding you about running out of ammo. It’ll subtly signal when you’re low, but there’s no active count. I’d play through once and then switch to Ranger Mode. I started with Ranger Mode the first time but spent too much time figuring things out, unsure what to do. There’s real excitement in counting your bullets.

Outlast is the sole experience that truly made me feel afraid.
