The most bizarre problem I've ever faced is still unclear to me.
I'm dealing with a peculiar problem that's making it hard to figure out. I own a B660M AX board with 13600kf, 3060TI, 32gb kingston fury, and a 650w PSU. The first sign of trouble occurred while playing Valve games; the system prompted me to enable secure boot in BIOS. After trying to activate it, I was told to set the PK key, which I did, thinking I'd activated secure boot. The machine restarted but no display appeared. I had to reset everything by removing the CMOS and physically reseating the components. Eventually, I left the CMOS out for a while before reinserting it, but the issue persisted. Later, I took my PC to a friend's place where the GPU worked perfectly. I suspected a damaged motherboard or possibly a faulty PCIe lane. I replaced the board with a B670M gaming model and still faced the same problem. When I tried a 640 chip in the new board, it functioned after a short delay before showing up. My work machine with a standard 10th-gen GPU also worked fine. The 3060TI seems to be the one that's failing on both my machines. I can remotely access the system and it doesn't recognize the 3060TI plugged in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated?
I purchased the original machine several years back, and all components have been improved except the board (so far). The GPU remains unchanged.
Some prebuilt units use OEM-specific VBIOS settings that prevent secure boot on standard systems
Successfully turned off secure boot on your mainboard, but the 3060ti isn’t showing up on screen. Consider checking connections or trying a different power setup.
Remove the CMOS battery and wait two minutes before reinserting it.
