I'm purchasing because of this annoying package split... so what should I get for the most affordable option? The current bundles that include both games are the RSI Aurora MR (Link) or the Consolidated Outlands Mustang Alpha (Link). Edit: Whoops, LN was changed to MR. Edit 2: LN is actually the same cost and offers better value than the MR Link.

The MR dummy has finished the LN upgrade. The video you shared is a solid setup guide. It’s not the top ship, but it provides a versatile base that covers most needs and shows how other ships perform in-game. The controls are decent for a beginner, though handling could be improved.

You could try my approach and use all your resources on neutron cannons and mass drivers to destroy ships quickly if you're precise. Tongue

You consistently prefer suggesting the LN because it provides the highest value for your money at that price point.

I purchased the LN as soon as it was first revealed, it cost $5 more than a similar model (MR), or maybe it was $15 instead...

I find it really confusing with all the different versions of the Aurora. The naming system isn't very clear, especially since the starter package is MR, but the names vary a lot. Even though some models serve similar purposes, they still have distinct identities.

Absolutely, it's quite possible to adapt it to other requirements...
