I've faced this problem for a while now, and it's starting to irritate me. The situation is that when I'm idle on my computer—whether browsing the web or playing a simple game like Roblox—I suddenly see the screen go black. I attempted to restart the GPU driver using the shortcut (Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B), but it didn't work. I also tried uninstalling all video drivers with DDU and reinstalling my NVIDIA drivers, yet the issue persisted. I thought cleaning the dust might help, which it did for a few days before it returned. Updating the BIOS didn’t resolve anything. After a restart, I heard beeps from the headphones on Windows, usually just one or two at a time. I haven't found any specific guides that match my setup, so I'm seeking advice here. During a replay of the problem, I used GPU-Z and noticed the GPU's power draw dropped dramatically from 150W to 20W right before the black screen appeared. This observation might be useful. I'm familiar with some specs: Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 6-core processor, 16 GB RAM, Prime B55OM-A WiFi, and running on Windows 11. A video documenting the incident is attached below.

You're checking if the issue lies with the GPU or monitor. Have you tested different video output ports and confirmed the port isn't faulty? Did you try swapping cables? Let me know what steps you've already taken.

I've tested various monitors and cables. Since I don’t have display cables, I rely on HDMI ports. Running dual monitors doesn’t stop the issue. I’m not sure what you’re asking about troubleshooting.

Identifying the issue involves testing different methods to pinpoint where the problem arises. Are the issues happening simultaneously on both displays?

Have you considered changing the GPUs or switching PCIe slots on the motherboard (if another is free)?

I don’t have any additional GPUs available and no PCIe connections to use.

Ok. do you have a friend with one? I am asking to see if you are having a power draw issue either from the card or lack of power delivery from the mobo or psu.

Next time I'll check if changing the GPU resolves the problem. That was one of the ideas I considered, but I'm curious about alternatives too.

Right now it's difficult to pinpoint the exact cause. My thought is related to power problems. It might take some time to clarify further. Someone else could assist in identifying this. I plan to shift your discussion to the Troubleshooting section for broader support.
