The monitor is a vintage Hyundai model. It only has a VGA input, and the cable provided connects to the monitor’s port and ends in a DVI connector. The DVI part works with DP because I’m using an RTX 3060 Ti. Please let me know if you need guidance on getting started.

If you're using a 3060 Ti, the timing might be different based on its age.

When VGA connects to one end and DVI to another, the DVI side includes additional pins for analog output. VGA transmits an analog signal, whereas modern connections like HDMI or DisplayPort are digital. In older graphics cards, DVI had those extra pins for analog transmission. The top image shows a "DVI-I" setup. Newer graphics cards, such as the RTX 3060Ti, now use only HDMI and DisplayPort, eliminating any analog signal. Your choices: either invest in an active DisplayPort adapter to convert digital to analog if you must keep using this monitor, or upgrade to a new monitor that supports both HDMI and DisplayPort—most options today.
