Recently I'm having trouble setting up my monitor at 144 Hz. It starts lagging and shows strange graphics glitches. It works fine at 120 Hz. I own an MSI G242 monitor for two years, and it always ran smoothly at 144 Hz without any issues. I've tried stress testing the GPU, CPU, RAM, changed cables, and switched to integrated graphics, but nothing helped. The system is already prebuilt. I'm here for help. Setup details:
- Monitor: MSI G242
- GPU: 3060 Ti
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G
- Motherboard: HP 8906
- RAM: 2x8 GB 3200 MHz DDR4

This indicates your monitor is failing. I noticed issues around 165hz and 144hz, with performance dropping. It only functioned well at 60hz and 120hz. It’s time to replace it.
