Hey there! I heard your monitor arrived with an issue—left side looks dark. You received the refund, so you don’t need to return it. I’m curious if anyone has experienced a similar problem with a KTC M27T20 Pro Mini LED and knows if it’s possible to fix it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Half of the Mini-LED areas are inactive. Because it uses Mini-LED technology, fixing this will be challenging for several reasons—two main points: you’re new to this issue and it’s not a common model from a major manufacturer (making parts hard to find). When I searched online, there’s almost no guidance available for others who have tried similar repairs. If I had a working replacement, I’d likely analyze the faulty one myself to understand the problem better, but you’ll need strong electronics skills to do that.

It's tough to determine if the issue lies with the panel or another factor affecting the left side of the display. They clearly avoid having the monitor installed.

I've fixed backlit LED monitors before. You can count from eight to sixty white LEDs depending on the screen size and brand. With mini-LEDs, you might see a few to tens of thousands lighting up... I doubt anyone can repair individual LEDs at that scale... Unless you manage to get the monitor inspected for free, it probably isn't worth opening it. Most monitor frames are secured with plastic tabs that are surprisingly fragile. Repair kits and diagrams are likely out of stock, etc. Hope this helps.

Again, if you have the free working replacement, its 100% worth opening seeing as how its unusable now.. you can't make it worse. Who knows, could just find a bad solder joint somewhere while tinkering. Its trash anyway, might as well.
