The MOBO flashes stop working completely.
When I power up the PSU, the MOBO lights up once yet it doesn’t react to the power switch or shorting the pins. I recently received a new MOBO since the previous one failed, completed setup, and passed all tests. However, functionality ceased after placing them inside the case. After extensive troubleshooting, I discovered a short in the case affecting the MOBO. It seemed resolved since everything worked both inside and outside the case for a while. But during my final check, I realized something might have been shorted again. Now I’m stuck—am I possibly damaged the MOBO multiple times? I don’t want to buy another one until I confirm it’s the issue.
Consider the possibility of a simple accident. Focus on the essential parts of the motherboard. If you have a GPU, detach it. Keep only the CPU and one memory stick in the farthest slot from the CPU, excluding any PCIe devices such as an NVMe drive. Reset the CMOS and attempt to power it on. If unsuccessful, remove the battery and try again, ensuring the board is placed on a non-conductive surface like cardboard.
