I recently changed my microphone from the blue snowball to the blue yeti and have faced some problems. Whenever my mini fridge shuts off, my audio drivers would restart unexpectedly. During a Skype call, both incoming and outgoing audio stopped. While watching Linus rock his socks and sandals, the video would crash, load all the content I just watched, and then require me to reload the page to keep viewing. (On the vessel, I received the message: "Your browser doesn't seem to support playback of this video. Try another browser or another video." As mentioned at the start, this occurs every time my mini fridge turns off.) Here’s as much detail about my system as I could gather. Please note, nothing has been overclocked. I’ve tried the following to identify the issue: I unplugged the fan, printer, lamps, speakers, and guitar amp. I left the mini fridge alone. Still, the drivers crash. At this stage, I suspect the wires behind my mini fridge might be the culprit. I moved it across the room to a different outlet. No improvement, still crashes when the fridge powers down. When the mini fridge isn’t plugged in, the drivers don’t crash either. This only happened after I bought the blue yeti. Switching back to the blue snowball also stops the audio crashes. If you’ve shared this in the wrong forum section, I’m truly sorry. Could you let me know where to post it or suggest another place? I’m new here.

Place the snowball in the mini fridge. It’s thawing, which is causing your audio issues.

It's really confusing how vague everything feels right now.

Was es ein Kabel vom Haus sein oder ein Fehler von dir? Ich habe versucht, meinen Computer neu zu verdrahten, mit verschiedenen Ports und USB-Versionen, aber das Problem blieb bestehen.

I’ll just assume the mini fridge isn’t one of those USB-powered gadgets meant to chill a soda or beer. Your microphone could be sensitive to power fluctuations, so each time the fridge’s pump starts or stops it introduces “interruptions” into your electrical setup (a term I’m familiar with, but I usually call these spikes “bugs”). This leads to crashes either at the electrical level or in software. Since you appear to have isolated it only when the fridge is off, it’s likely there’s a problem along your power supply. Depending on your setup, it might be affected by a single circuit or several circuits. If it runs on multiple circuits, you could attempt to power your computer from a separate one from the fridge. I’ve seen this with a monitor and a neon sign—whenever that light turned on, the display would flicker briefly before returning to normal. This also occurs with a wireless router (like the Asus RT-G32), because both devices share the same power circuit and the neon bar. Switching circuits has helped stabilize the WiFi when turning the light on, as the connection would drop briefly while the LAN stayed active.

The electric recliner is causing your RGB mouse to activate and power on the PC once the motors cease. Consider rerouting the cables or checking if a BIOS setting can mitigate the electrical interference.

Consider using a different power source connected to another circuit breaker. Alternatively, install a UPS to stabilize your system. It seems the electricity quality might be affecting performance.
