I used a D630 with an Intel T7500 and wanted to find the highest RAM capacity. I’m considering upgrading to the maximum amount and adding a 1TB SSD for uploading old drivers or software.

To achieve higher performance you’d need to utilize more memory or use faster storage. If you require over 4 GB of RAM, ensure your operating system is 64-bit enabled. Even with a 64-bit setup, some older machines may still have restrictions. For instance, my previous HP model had 8 GB installed but only about 7.5 GB was actually accessible.
