I’ve posted before about a CPU that’s almost dead and I tried to bring it back by undervolting. Now I’m encountering something similar. I’m running an i5-8300H in the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-53, and my main problem is ThrottleStop not applying the cache undervolt. Everything else works fine—my core can handle a -165 mV reduction without any signs of trouble. I’ve run stress tests and played games nonstop, and it’s performed perfectly so far. It might have been that the current ini file was damaged.
Restarting ThrottleStop generated a fresh, clean .ini file.

If your laptop runs on the newest BIOS version, consider going a bit lower and check if you can adjust the cache voltage. In your present situation, try reducing the iGPU voltage as well. Adjusting the discrete GPU's voltage can also help lower internal temperatures.

Yes, it matches the latest update, particularly version 1.28. It was just a random coincidence that I accidentally removed the file while adjusting my ThrottleStop INI, and then reinstalled version 9.7.3. It functioned perfectly afterward, as if something had changed.

I noticed my temperatures fell by nine degrees, and thermal throttling almost disappeared when the system ran at full capacity. There was no significant drop in performance.
