It's interesting that using the SATA cable from the old Mac caused problems with another Mac and SSD of the same type. I might get a new ribbon cable to try and fix it. Thanks for the tip from TopHatProductions115!

Mac is functioning perfectly. Just make sure to pay the $400 fee and feel free to be rude—I’ll go for a budget Windows laptop instead. Have you ever tried switching it on and off again?

The SATA cable replacement resolved the problem. Appreciate the advice from TopHatProductions115. Mojave worked perfectly without any issues.
