The SSD is properly connected and recognized by GParted and Disk utility. With MacOS, Windows, and Linux all showing similar boot problems, the issue might lie in the firmware.

The SSD functions properly across various setups without any issues. Independent testing by the retailer where I bought it confirmed no problems. It seems the problem likely lies with the laptop.

Consider updating the SSD's firmware first and retest. If unsuccessful, examine the SSD for bad sectors or other issues. Should nothing appear, perform the Apple Hardware Test as described: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201257. For Macs released after 2013, use the alternative link at the top of the page.

I completed the Apple hardware testing without encountering any problems. Reviewing Samsung's site showed no available firmware updates. Examining the SMART status of the drive revealed normal readings (as expected for a brand-new device).

I don't know if this will help, but I did find this: https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/4708...acBook+Pro https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/4708...swer510252 It could be the drive cable. There's only one way to find out...
