He gave me a work computer with an MSI Z97 gaming motherboard and an EVGA Supernova 750 G2 power supply. When I turn it on, the fan starts and the board lights up as if it's powered. The THOR case lights briefly before shutting off. The fan keeps running but the system seems inactive.

It won’t power up or send updates unless it has a CPU and RAM.
