The M.2 SSD isn't appearing in the new BIOS setup.
I recently assisted a friend in setting up his first computer and am facing issues with the M.2 SSD not appearing. The manual suggests the first slot is only active with an 11th generation Intel processor, but the other two slots don’t list the drive in the BIOS either. When I installed it, the drive worked fine, so what’s missing? Checking the motherboard configuration or confirming compatibility between the SSD and the board might be the next step.
If it's an NVMe storage device, you're probably going to find a setting in the BIOS to turn it on. Certain motherboards activate it by default or automatically, while others require manual setup.
It's unclear why it isn't enabled by default on all boards. I think most of the boards I've used before did have it turned on automatically. My recent experience has mostly centered around AMD systems.
