I turned off the SATA controller and the built-in Ethernet, but nothing altered. I also adjusted the PCIe bifurcation settings to 4x4 and other parameters—still no changes. Is this indicating that the motherboard claims a second M.2 slot for PCIe 3.0 x4 speeds, yet it never supports that, even with a Ryzen 9? And why do some X4 slots only operate in single-mode despite the drives claiming otherwise... something seems amiss, o.o
Gigabyte tech support verified the drives are operating at the expected speeds: x4 in the second M.2 slot (through the chipset) and x2 in the PCIe slot with M.2 adapter. They suspect an issue and requested a return or RMA. I recently installed an X570 board and everything is functioning smoothly.
