Hi everyone, I'm using a Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse and have been adjusting the DPI settings through the Logitech G hub. My mouse moves faster with higher DPI, but when it's inactive for a while, it resets to the default speed without DPI, then gradually returns to normal after about two seconds. I've also noticed this happens when I'm on the login screen during startup. Do you know why this occurs? Have others experienced similar behavior? Thanks.
Is this related to the 3/22/2022 hub software update? It might be a bug fixed by the update. Additionally, if your mouse and G hub stop when idle, verify the Control Panel Power Options are set to full power, and review Device Manager Properties for mouse and USB devices—ensure the Power Management option isn’t checked. Also, inspect the Control Panel Mouse settings to check if Pointer Options Speed conflicts with the G hub; consider setting it to maximum. Remember, the G hub is a software booster that activates after Windows starts, so expect no DPI boost before logging in or during G hub loading.
I'm using the version released on March 22, 2022, and I believe it's not a software issue. In the device manager I haven't located my mouse, even after checking under "Human Interface Devices" and "Mice and other pointing devices."
Setting it to maximum didn't change the speed, but remains the same in the software—could this be the cause? If so, how can I disable it?

Because your mouse isn't appearing in HID and the standard Mouse devices, you need to examine every USB device and port shown on the Device Manager interface at the bottom. The idle problem likely indicates a USB configuration is disabling the USB port your mouse uses, requiring you to test each setting until you confirm none are affecting the ports. Additionally, ensure the Control Panel Power Options USB Selective Suspend option is turned off.

I've attempted everything you suggested, and another key point is that I'm left-handed, so I changed the primary and secondary clicks in the software. After a short pause without using my mouse, it becomes idle as usual, but when I move the mouse, the clicks remain consistent with what I configured, and the lightning adjusts instantly to the settings. The DPI boost only changes after about two seconds.
Everything remains to be logged as a bug in the logitech software; they should address it soon.
This is the problem with mice and keyboards being connected via usb dongles; you never know which usb device its connected to in the device manager. Its also one of my pet peeves about windows where microsoft just decides on its own that some devices, especially usb ports, should have their power management options set to "Allow the computer to turn off the device" even though you've selected the High Performance power plan.
