Hi, I see you're having trouble connecting to your Apache2 server on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. It sounds like the issue might be with the IP address or configuration settings. You mentioned trying to use the router's IP and FileZilla, but both didn't work. Also, when you type localhost in the browser, it shows the root directory instead of the expected path. Have you double-checked your server's configuration file and ensured the correct port numbers are set? Let me know if you need further help!

Did you input the address visible on the internet or the one used within your local network?

I checked my IP by running the command curl http://httpbin.org/ip on my local network, and it matches the address I need to reach.

To reach the WAN side IP from within your LAN, the connection may fail. Consider using a WAN IP such as mobile internet and attempt the connection from there.

That's correct, I missed noting that in the update.

It seems the configuration wasn't done properly.

I sent the ports via the access control list page on your D-Link DSL-2740U Router in this format.

It seems you're trying to access a different section. The correct tab is on the left for port forwarding.

I noticed Werecatf resolved the issue, but for your reference, NAT Loopback is a feature on certain routers. This means connecting to a WAN interface using an IPTongueort from inside the network might fail to establish a loopback connection. Some routers let you turn it on, others don’t. Keep this in mind if you encounter problems with Port Forwarding after router changes or at other locations.
