If you have some extra cash, you could always upgrade it with another 2gb stick. I did that to my old laptop, and it worked perfectly.

The RAM is fixed to the board. I have a couple of laptop RAM units nearby, but I can't connect them. It's smaller and lighter than a Macbook Air and doesn't have a fan.
