Hi! It seems the USB-C to displayport cable isn't working properly with your Dell G2724D. You mentioned trying it on other laptops, which worked fine, and that the device appears in the system but doesn’t output anything. The manual says it supports DP 1.4, but you’re not seeing any signal. Have you checked the cable connection or tried a different port?

I started by checking if the port indeed allows DisplayPort AltMode. It seems it does. I reviewed the PDF from Lenovo to confirm details. I looked for any other displays that might show images, tested the Display settings in Windows, and examined the Display section within the settings interface.

It functions properly through HDMI, yet using the identical cable with another monitor causes the same problem. The display area only contains options for the built-in screen, whereas on the other laptop it supports full 1440p at 165 Hz.

Did you manage to switch to another USB C to DP connection? Which device was linked to it?

It was a more affordable Lenovo IdeaPad and it used the identical cable. And I couldn't test another cable.
