Hello
I own a Lenovo 7303 7303ALB for more than ten years and it has always functioned properly.
Recently it stops not displaying or booting at all. The BIOS video doesn’t appear, and no other video shows up.
Usually I hear just one beep indicating everything is fine, but that’s no longer happening.
I unplugged and reconnected all cables and connectors, but the issue persists.
I also removed both memory sticks; then a continuous loud beep appeared. After reinserting the memory, the beep stopped. This suggests the system recognizes the memory.
It seems like the video might be faulty.
I replaced the CR2032 CMOS battery with a new one, which measured 3.3V, but it didn’t change.
What other checks should I perform?
Thanks

I tested a ps/2 keyboard to check if it helped, but it didn’t improve access to the bios or cause the system to post or boot. I usually see the bios information on the monitor. I also took out the dvd drive, hard drive, and removed the wireless adapter to see if that would help, but it didn’t. It’s unclear what else needs fixing—maybe the built-in video failed. I think the power supply is fine. I might take out the hard drive and discard the computer unless someone suggests another solution. I’m running out of ideas.

hello
I'm searching for a standard replacement power supply with the same dimensions. I need to know the form factor or case type, and I'm planning to look on eBay or Amazon.

That is a proprietary PSU, not any standard format.
Are you trying to replace the PSU in the Lenovo model this comes from? Or something else?

When working with the Lenovo, ensure you get a matching PSU or a comparable model. Check nearby Craigslist listings for available components; some sellers might have spare parts in stock.

back to the problem with the computer
this morning I received a loud continuous beep when both RAM sticks were installed, something that had never happened before.
I took out both RAM sticks, put them back in, and the beep stopped.
something strange is happening, so I plan to replace the power supply. If that doesn’t work, I’ll have to throw away the computer.
just to be sure, I want to confirm there’s no video or boot-up issue...
it’s an AMI BIOS in the Lenovo ThinkCenter.
also, what does “no post” mean? Is it when it fails to complete the BIOS boot cycle?
if I get a beep error code, does that mean it finished the post and found an error, or is a beep indicating it detected an issue and didn’t finish the post?
thanks

It seems there might be a concern about a potential CPU or motherboard issue. You mentioned no display activity, which is a common sign of such problems. Let me know if you need further clarification.

evening appears on the screen
the power button functions, at least it activates the cpu fan, and if I press it gently for a few seconds I can shut down the pc. does this indicate the cpu is operating?
