The Lenovo 330S LED light display operates but remains inactive.
We received a Lenovo laptop in our store that was supposed to be powered down during a hardware update but now won’t turn on. When the power button is pressed, the LED lights up briefly before flashing and then returning to normal. This cycle repeats 4 to 5 times before the device shuts itself off. During these cycles, the keyboard backlight, key caps, and screen remain inactive. I’ve tried several fixes: removing the battery and holding it for 30 seconds, unplugging the main battery and RTC/CMOS battery while holding the power button, pressing FN and Novo to boot into BIOS, and even trying to hold the power button with the charger attached or disconnected. None resolved the issue. I reached out to Lenovo support but didn’t get any help. At first I thought it was stuck in sleep mode, but now it seems different. Anyone have experience with this problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Take charge as the hunter, not merely the target. Consider swapping out the hardware, like the old motherboard or power supply, so others can recognize potential issues.
I plan to tackle Point 9 soon. Apart from swapping out the SSD and removing the RAM stick, no other hardware was replaced. Previous users claimed nothing was altered. From what I can see inside, it wasn’t opened until I received it.
