You’ll need to run a fresh installation of Windows because the drivers are different for the new motherboard. Checking with Microsoft may help, but it depends on whether they recognize your existing system.

When using an OEM version of Windows, you typically need to purchase a new license. Since the original manufacturer couldn't supply the exact motherboard for your replacement, you may be able to complete a phone activation after the installation fails due to the faulty board. They might issue a one-time override code to re-link your license to the new hardware. If you have the retail version, no action is required. After upgrading to Windows 10, reinstall your previous version, activate it fully, and upgrade again until the "Get Windows 10" option reappears before proceeding with the latest version.
