Hi everyone, I just installed a new PC with these components: Windows 11 Pro, Aorus B550 Tomahawk (BIOS updated ~1.5 weeks ago), Gigabyte RTX 4070 Windforce OC (12GB), Ryzen 7 5800X, Samsung 980 M.2 (500GB) boot drive, a Gigabyte 750W power supply (gold rated, exact model unclear), and a 32GB Trident Z Neo (no XMP support). When I power it on, usually* no display output appears on any of the DisplayPorts or the HDMI port. The motherboard debug light flashes "VGA."
I’ve booted in Windows multiple times—sometimes successfully, sometimes not. Performance is decent when it works, but inconsistent otherwise. I’ve tried reseating RAM and GPU, changed cables, updated drivers, installed updates, and even swapped out the power supply and outlets. The issue started before Windows was installed and continues after.
I’m at a MemoryExpress event where they confirmed the card functions on their bench and that another GPU could run in it. I’m curious if there’s more to this problem. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
