I was planning to get a R5 5600x because they are pretty much the best option here in Argentina if you don't really have a big budget, And also giving you the opportunity if you want to later upgrade to a better cpu from that series. The thing is with the new series, are they really worth waiting for? Or should I buy the ryzen 5, then later upgrade to a r7 5800x for example. I don't really see me buying a new motherboard and a most likely overpriced cpu nor buying a new pc in atleast 4-5 years and the 5000 series is not bad any error please comment down below, english is not my main language
The 5600X will continue to meet your needs in the near term. It's a reliable CPU with performance levels similar to today's console processors, so future titles should run smoothly on it. Upgrading later to a 5800X or 5900X might be beneficial, but if you're content, waiting until next year could be smart. This timing might also lead to lower prices for the 5600X.

Because the latest Ryzen model hasn't arrived yet, it's hard to say how much better or slower future Ryzen CPUs will be compared to today's Ryzen or Intel chips. If you already have a functional PC and can wait about six months or a year, you probably don’t need to upgrade right now. What are you planning to use your PC for? If it’s mainly for gaming, the performance gap between 5600x, 5800x, and 5900x is minimal. Therefore, any upcoming upgrade might not be worth it.
The issue is that I don’t have a new computer right now. I’m currently running an i3 540 and a server CPU from 2010 with a 10-core processor. Getting around 45fps in most games isn’t very enjoyable. I could either wait a few months for better CPUs or upgrade now. I think I’ll go with the latter since newer Ryzen models might not handle my 3060 well. Thanks for your help – another reason to switch is that my old PC runs Windows 7.
