The latest Gigabyte BIOS/UEFI update is causing incorrect startup during boot.
Hello, I own an Aorus Master X570 (rev 1.1) with a recent UEFI update (original F11, new F36c). The system started normally after the update but now shows a two-step boot process. When I press power, it flashes briefly before stopping, then resumes as usual. Before the change, it booted straight to Windows. Could this new behavior indicate an issue or something worth investigating?
You used the latest F36 BIOS update on your X570 Aorus Pro without problems. To go back, simply revert to your earlier BIOS version and stay ready for the upcoming update.
Check back with anyone who finds this later. I reverted my BIOS to F35, assuming it was a beta version (F36c was also in beta). The outcome stayed the same. I explored further and found a comparable discussion from 2016: Reflecting on the situation, I noticed my graphics card might need re-seating. I removed it, reinserted it, and the mini-boot loop issue disappeared.
Later that day after posting my previous message, the response came when I turned on my computer. I discovered the problem was linked to my case door. The Quiet Dark Base Pro with the tempered glass side panel appeared to be the culprit. Specifically, the thumb screws securing the panel to the case. When the panel wasn’t installed, the computer ran smoothly, but installing it caused a minor boot loop. I resolved it by loosening the screws slightly less than before. I’m not sure what’s completing the circuit, but I think the screw near the power supply might be the issue. A heads-up for anyone facing a similar situation later.
